The Amboy Fire Protection District will host the Amboy 11th bi-annual training event at Amboy High School. The all-day school will cover all things firefighting, from the ground up – from a course on grain bin rescues to one on incorporating drones into firefighting.

Collectively, the crew of instructors – more than 50 in all – bring hundreds of years of experience.

The training school, which the department takes turns hosting with the the Blackhawk Firefighter Association, started 20 years ago and has steadily grown since then, evolving and adding timely topics through the years, topics that at one time would have barely been on fire departments’ radar: active shooter training, opioid OD’s and drone training, to name a few.

TFT's Midwest Territory Manager Kevin Briggs and Technical Marketing Manager Brian "PODS" Podsiadlik will be in attendance.
